The Cannes film festival is one of the world's top film festivals. It’s definitely the event of the year. It’s like the Oscars, the Met Gala and Christmas rolled into one. It was held on May 15, 2013 and was 66th edition of the Cannes Film Festival. Cannes opened on May 15 and will climax on May 26 with awards selected by a jury headed this year by Hollywood legend Steven Spielberg.

The first dress, which immediately caught my eyes, was a custom Burberry dress, which was worn by the British model Cara Delevingne. She was a perfection tale. Her hair, her makeup, her jewelry, and of course her dress were flawless.

My second pick is A Christian Dior dress, which was worn by the amazing Australian actress and member of the Feature Film Jury Nicole Kidman. As she arrives for the screening of 'The Great Gatsby' I fell in love with the whole look. The perfect blonde hair, the perfect smile, not to mention the dreamy, yet sexy dress.

My third pick is unusual yet brilliant frosted mint organza and silk chiffon gown by a young French designer of Chinese descent, Yiqing Yin, who spent 400 hours creating this. This fabulous dress was worn by the fabulous French actress Audrey Tautou.

Next comes a flowing nude colored evening dress by St├ęphane Rolland, which was worn by US singer Solange Knowles.

Then comes a silver bugle beaded strapless gown with a tonal waistband from Calvin Klein Collection, and was worn by the British actress Naomie Harris.

Lady in red, a strapless red/gold dress with multiple choppy layers by Oscar de la Renta, and was worn by the Australian actress Isla Fisher.

Then comes a striking pea-green off-the-shoulder gown with a deep plunging neckline, by the Russian designer Ulyana Sergeenko, and was worn by the Chinese actress Fan Bingbing.

Finally, Dior Couture look which I was personally slightly disappointed in. I really love Dior dresses, but maybe she could’ve styled it better, maybe add a statement necklace. I don't know the look was just flat to me.
